Total Eclipse of the Moon took place on Wednesday 15 June 2011

The total lunar eclipse on started at about  8:2opm, and was total eclipse from about 9:21pm to 11:02pm, and ended at 00:02am.  The total eclipse was visible from all of Africa, although north-west Africa missed the start. 
The next total lunar eclipse will be at a slightly warmer time of the year but it's a long wait - September 28, 2015 - and it's at 3am.
